A huge THANK YOU! to everyone in the server who read this whole thing and gave me advice, information, and resources to help me write this guide. I could not have done it without you! You’re the best!

Disclaimer: Do not mention the Discord server or the subreddit on the Neopets site! At best you’ll be ‘silenced’ for a period of time and at worst you can be frozen and it is not worth it!

Hi! I’m glad you’re here! :)
Thank you for taking the time to use this guide. I put a lot of love and time into this and this project has been very important to me.I made this guide to help Neopians learn one of the most popular methods of earning NPs (and lots of them): RESTOCKING!(Games used to be a great way, too. RIP Flash Player.)This is a pretty long guide. I’m sorry-not-sorry. It’s extremely detailed, thorough, and in-depth. However! I did try to section it out, keep it simple, and make it easy to follow. It can be overwhelming, but stick with me. I highly recommend reading everything on this site. Even the stuff that seems obvious and that you already know about. There are a lot of little nuances in this guide that you might learn a lot from! Despite the length it should still be quick read that leaves you with a very strong foundation to start restocking with.If you find this guide helpful please send me a DM and let me know! My Discord and Reddit usernames are in the footer. I spent over 18 hours writing this lengthy guide and creating this website, all because I know first-hand how overwhelming it can be to learn to restock and I wanted to help others learn, too, and in a way that hopefully makes it a little less daunting and confusing. I would love to know if all this effort has made a difference or helped you in any way! I would seriously appreciate it. <3
What will I learn here?
This guide will contain all of the basics of restocking such as what it is, the how-to, and a detailed step-by-step with tips and tricks as well as terminology, general tips and strategies, resource links, The Black Market Boon information, server bot commands, and even a small and simple section on selling items you have purchased. When you see terms marked with the † symbol that means it is listed in the terminology section along with many other relevant terms and acronyms I may not have mentioned.
What this guide will not cover in detail are specific stores and items. I’ll share a bit of advice later on, however there is a resource page with links that will direct you to guides you can reference for that kind of information. I still highly recommend giving this guide a read though because there is a lot more to restocking than just buying stuff and those guides don't really talk about that aspect.
Luckily restocking can make you rich in a relatively short amount of time. It takes patience, skill, and commitment just like anything else. And the more time you put into it the more neopoints (NP) you get out of it. But you don’t have to be rich to start restocking! That’s the nice thing. There are tons of items that you can buy for between 5,000 and 10,000 NPs and sell for over 100,000 NPs if not more. Many profits are small though and might only get you 10k profit. However, it all adds up quickly, and even the small profits can feel super rewarding. I have made over 25 million NPs in a handful of months while only ever restocking a few items worth maybe 1.5 million at most.
You can do it, too!

What exactly is restocking?
Since you’re here you probably already have a basic idea, but let’s cover it anyway! Restocking (RS / RSing) at its simplest is buying items at official Neopian shops (not user shops), and reselling them to other players for profit. There is a lot more to it, though.
Learning which items are profitable in which shops is a whole different ball game. There are lots of guides that give examples and advice on which items to go for in which shops, what shops to start in as a beginner, and other information along those lines. However some of those guides are outdated now that the Neopets community has shrunk drastically in size. Check out the resource page for an up-to-date guide, however feel free to also ask around for other links, item advice, shop advice, etc.
What it really comes down to is being patient with the learning process. Learning shops is the hardest part of learning to RS and we all gotta put the work in. What I can say is keep an eye on the server chat, what people buy and are happy about, what people regret purchasing, and what people are on the hunt for. Also keep an eye on what items you see consistently stay in-stock at the shop you’re RSing at. If you see items that are always stocking but never disappearing that is a very clear indicator that they will not be profitable.
Be patient! You’ve got this! :)

Account-age Restrictions
There’s a decent chance that if you’re on Neopets right now you were probably a player a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far- wait. Nope. Wrong reference. You probably played forever ago, took a hiatus, and now you’re back. Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones and you were able to get back into your old account. If so, then this doesn’t apply to you as long as your account is older than 3 months.Whether you’re a Neopets veteran, a casual player who has played on and off for many years, or you’re one of the rare, new, never-have-been-on-Neopets-before players and your account is younger than 3 months then this section does apply to you.
Accounts under 3 months old can only see certain items in official Neopian shops. All items on Neopets have a rarity assigned to them. It is shown in vague terms under the items in your inventory (i.e. (special), (rare), (very rare), or sometimes even a blank space, etc.) and shown in its more specific numerical form when you search for the item or you open up the actions pop-up for an item in your inventory by clicking on it.
Rarity can be an indicator of an item’s worth, but only very-sometimes. It doesn’t have a reliable pattern. However, rarity is still important in RSing and a lot of the good items you’ll be looking to RS in official shops will have higher rarities, which is where this account-age restriction comes into play. Accounts of certain ages can only see up to a certain rarity. You can check your account age on your user lookup.Newbie: r79 and below
10 days: r84 and below
16 days: r89 and below
1 month: r94 and below
3 months and older: All items.FYI: shops only stock items up to r99 although the rarity scale goes a lot higher. You can google more info on item rarity if you’d like.
Why are there age restrictions?
I know they can be annoying, however they are there to prevent people from creating endless accounts to RS. It's a deterrent. Banned on one account? Can’t just make another to RS with right then and there because you can’t access all of the best items right away. Basically it helps keep the playing field a little more fair. There are also other age restrictions on the site, but you can google those if you want to learn more.Besides, doing any neopoint-earning activity on more than one account is a freezable offense and against TNT (The Neopets Team) rules! You can have up to a total of 5 accounts, but you can’t use more than one them to earn NPs.

How do I restock, though?
Here is where we get to what you’re probably really here for. You want to get rich and you see others doing it but you have no idea where to start. So let’s get into it and give you a basic idea of how this works!
